NBC 12: Richmond officer gets backlash for trimming overgrown trees

NBC 12’s Kelly Avellino contacted us regarding the story of a Richmond police officer who was trimming overgrown trees on Hull Street between calls. She interviewed us and got a statement from the RPD demonstrating their and the community’s overwhelming support for the officer.

Apparently the citizen who filed the complaint against the officer for doing the tree trimming rather than more traditional police work is in the very small minority. You can see the news story below titled “Richmond officer gets backlash for trimming overgrown trees.”

RPD, keep up the great work in Manchester!
