Books for a Better World: Local Author Series at the Hull Street Library

The Hull Street Library is starting a new local author series. Here are the details we received via email and from the library website:

Beginning with Benjamin Campbell on May 9th and every 2nd Tuesday @ 6:30-8 after that we will host a local author or scholar to discuss their work. The focus of the series is on themes of social justice, local history, healing and memory. We are thrilled to announce that we have just added Tressie McMillan Cottom, author of Lower Ed, who was recently featured on The Daily Show and Fresh Air, and Bert Ashe, author of Twisted: My deadlock chronicles, to our schedule of appearances. The full schedule can be found at the Hull Street Library site. Join us for refreshments, a lively discussion, and the chance to buy books and mingle with your bookish neighbors.
