  1. Quarry work. The falls of the James has always been pretty industrialized. Even when john smith floated up the James, the area was a indian fishing village and trading post.

  2. Interesting piece Mike, have you seen these pools? I can’t believe that the small rock being knocked around, forms these pools rather than the small rock breaking apart & becoming gravel.
