Momentum is building on Hull Street for both Manchester and Swansboro alike. The latest announcement from Richmond BizSense broke the news this morning that Chicken Fiesta is moving its headquarters into the old Ukrop’s Grocery location at 3113 Hull Street. The location is considered by the City of Richmond to be in what is referred to as the Swansboro West neighborhood. Here is what Richmond BzSense’s article had to say:

“Owner and operator Harold Vega said the move returns the company to the Manchester area, where it kept its offices upon launching in the early 2000s.

‘We were in Manchester about 15 years ago, and left because the neighborhood at the time was pretty rough,” Vega said. “But I’ve been watching what’s been happening, and things are really starting to improve. I thought it was a great time for us to be a part of what’s going on there and come back.’”

Further in the article, Vega alludes to potential plans to open a new Chicken Fiesta restaurant at or near the 3113 Hull Street location, but those plans have not yet been locked down.
