Robbery on 1200 block of Porter Street

The City of Richmond Police Department has informed us that there was a robbery last night. They have reached out to us at the Dogtown Dish to make readers aware and to ask for help in solving the crime. Here is what they have shared:

“At approximately 10:45 pm last night, the victim states he was out jogging when he was approached by two unknown males in the 1200 block of Porter St., one was armed with a gun. The males demanded the victim lie on the ground and proceeded to take items from his pockets. The suspects fled on foot and  the victim gave chase. One of the suspects turned and fired his gun at the victim, who was not struck. It appears that the gunfire did strike a residence in the 1300 block of Porter St., fortunately no one was injured.

At present, we have limited descriptions of the suspects which are:

Subj: #1  Black Male, skinny with medium brown skin, clean shaved, small afro wearing baggy cargo pants, long grey shirt between 17or 18yrs old

Subj: #2   Black Male, unknown Height or weight  16yrs old with a white mask, hoody- white inside and black on the outside

We are asking that anyone that either heard or saw anything out of the ordinary contact Detective Brian Taylor at 804-646-0689.”
