Sculpture Comes to Hull Street

I jumped out of my chair and did a happy dance when I heard that the City of Richmond is commissioning an art sculpture for Hull Street!

Here is the message we received from Natalie Draper, the Branch Manager for the Hull Street Library:

I thought you would be interested to know about a public art project coming to Hull Street this year. This project is funded by 1% for the arts. A large sculpture will be installed in front of the Hull Street Library (in the place of the big holly bush in the center). The Public Art Commission will hold two public meetings to gather input from the community and to share information about the project *before* the RFP goes out: Tuesday, February 28th @ 6 pm and Saturday, March 4th @ 1 pm. The meetings are free and open to the public. I hope you will share this information with your readers, and I hope to see you at the meeting. Please let me know if I can answer any questions. Thanks in advance!

Best,
