Manchester Mardi Gras Parade 2017 Dish by Design by Laura Dyer Hild - February 26, 201731 The Mardi Gras Parade 2017 put on by the Dogtown Dance Theatre still happened in spite of the sudden bad weather that rolled into RVA yesterday. Mother nature decided to grace us with a beautiful day but right about the time the event started she sent in the dark clouds, thunder, and lighting. What was supposed to be a five block parade up Porter and down Bainbridge was shortened to a one block party loop. Despite the condensed version, the parade was still a sight to see. Participants and onlookers seemed to all have a blast in spite of the oncoming rain. As they say, a little party (or rain) never hurt nobody….. Enjoy the footage from yesterday’s Mardi Gras parade!
