McDemo on Hull Street! News by Michael C. Hild - April 4, 201744 A shout out the Manchester Alliance is in order. For those who don’t know, the Manchester Alliance pushed for the city to require the demolition of the old McDonalds at Hull and Commerce as a condition of the zoning approval for McDonalds to relocate across the street. Thankfully the old store has now been torn down so that it does not become a blighted eyesore for the community. Let’s hope that a new development goes in at this prominent corner, and that it makes a positive contribution to the Hull Street business corridor.
That’s fast. It was still standing as of 7:15 this morning. Now I hope it becomes something beneficial and not just another empty lot collecting trash. I also hope they leave the pay phones because they get a lot of use. Reply
That corner has a commanding presence – it’s a shame they didn’t put the new McD in the same spot. But now, it can be home to a new towering building with street-level retail. Reply
I was hoping they’d demolish it ASAP. So glad to see it go. Can’t wait to see what goes in its place!!! Reply
