Pickleball, Restaurant/Bar & Coworking Space Planned for Manchester

A set of Charlottesville entrepreneurs, Barrett Worthington and Megan Charity, are teaming up with Jason Alley and Michele Jones to open a hybrid Pickleball, Restaurant/Bar & Coworking Space by the name of Rally in an undisclosed location on Manchester’s Hull Street.

According to quotes in Richmond BizSense, the group selected Richmond over Charlottesville and Manchester over Scott’s Addition due to the lack of entertainment options in the neighborhood:

“This is an opportunity to really put Richmond on the map, and could become a big draw to the area,” Worthington said. “You’re not going to find a concept like this anywhere on the East Coast. It’s inclusive, it’s fun and we think Manchester is ready.”

“There is so much that is happening in Manchester,” Worthington said. “The first thing you notice is the volume of apartment development, and the number of people that live there, but besides a couple of other places, there’s not much down there.”

The group hopes to secure the site by year end and break ground in 2020. They are modeling the Rally concept off of Chicken N’ Pickle out of Kansas City (pictured above). You can read the full article at Richmond BizSense.
