Manchester Walking Tour

The Valentine announced that it is hosting a Manchester Walking Tour as part of the Richmond History Tours program on Saturday, July 9th from 10AM-12 noon. The walk will start at 201 West 7th Street, Richmond VA 23224 in front of Camden’s Dogtown Market. Here are the full details from the Valentine event page:

“Located just across the banks of the James River, Manchester was incorporated into Richmond in 1910. Join us for a walking tour of this hip, urban area which is undergoing a massive transformation. Explore this once independent city’s pre Civil War past and look at how industrial space is being redesigned for work, living and art space in the 21st century. See one of the best views of the city from Floodwall Park. Meet in front of Camden’s Dogtown Market.

$15 per person
$5 for History Center Members
Walk-ups welcome.
Cash or check.
On-street parking.

This tour is presented as part of the Richmond History Tours program a premier program of the Valentine Richmond History Center. The program offers a full schedule of walking and bus tours of city neighborhoods, waterways, parks, retail districts, historic sites and battlefields.”
