Hull Street’s “Modest Project” Is Shaping Up!

Charlie Westbrook and his Plains Management Company’s “Modest Project” on Hull Street is really coming together.

The historic renovation has been coined the Modest Project and the buildings include the Modest Apparel building at 1309/1311 Hull Street and the Modest Attire Building at 1313/1315 Hull Street.

As reported by Richmond BizSense, “Once renovated, the buildings will sport 3,500-square-feet of ground-floor commercial space between them, split into four storefronts.” Additionally, “The 9,500-square-feet of residential space will be split into 14 apartments, all but two of which will be one-bedroom units.”

It’s truly amazing to see the amount of work being done on Hull Street especially within the area between the 1200 and 1400 blocks. My hunch is the development will continue to spread south all the way to Cowardin Avenue/Jefferson Davis Highway in the next few years.
