River Row Building Set for Manchester’s Bainbridge Street

RJ Smith and Janet King are kicking off another project in Manchester. The team recently announced plans to construct a three story, 9 unit apartment building at 1406 Bainbridge Street which was purchased via city foreclosure.

According to an article on the development in Richmond BizSense, “Plans call for the three-story development to include six two-bedroom units and three one-bedroom apartments.” The article states that “the $1.5 million project is expected to kick off in January, King said, with delivery of the units targeted for June 2019.”

Smith & King are responsible for a slew of development in the adjacent area including the 15 unit building at 1312 Bainbridge Street and the 20 unit mixed use building at 1319/1321 Hull St. The team also has plans for additional development at 1401/1405 Hull and the 1500 block of Hull Street.

It will be interesting to watch all of the construction take shape in 2019 as the neighborhood transforms.

  1. I hope construction vehicles won’t be blocking parking spaces for correct residents like I’ve seen done on other Manchester streets. I’m not trying to be rude-just practical. I’m glad to see something done with that space.
